This is a mixed media work. I was inspired by watching Blue Herons out of my windows.
From about 1954 to 1997 Ketchikan Pulp Co. (owned and operated by Louisiana Pacific), employed over 600 workers in Ketchikan alone. It was located about 5 miles north of Ketchikan in Ward Cove, Alaska. I decided to include it in the background of this piece. Thus, a forman, and his 'Blue-Collar Workers'.
Acrylic, Gesso and Colored Pencil.
